14 June, madwoman in the attic

The building I work in is a repurposed church. It’s flush with the buildings on either side and flat up against the street, so one has to be paying more attention to one’s surroundings than I usually do to notice this from the outside. Its original nature is even more obscured on the inside, a warren of skinny twisting hallways, funny-shaped offices, and workshops. This is one of the few spaces where the building’s origin is obvious, and I quite like it. Despite being the intersection of several heavily used areas, it feels like somewhere peaceful to hide.
